Nairobi Road

Nairobi Road, historically known as the Mombasa road or A109,[1] is a major road in Kenya on Earth that connects the cities of Mombasa and Nairobi. Along the way is the borough of Magongo and the industrial town of Voi, where the Tsavo Highway, also known as A23, joins with the Nairobi Road.[1] A railway also runs along the road.[2]
In 2552, the road was used as an escape route by refugees from Mombasa after the Battle of Mombasa.[3] Large portions of the highway were glassed by the Covenant in order to uncover the Portal, a Forerunner slipspace portal generator buried under the savannah over hundred thousand years earlier.[4]
