Pakistan is a country on Earth. Located in southern Asia, it is bordered by India on the east, the Arabian Sea to the south, Iran to the southwest, and Afghanistan to the west and north. Pakistan is one of the last Islamic republics remaining on Earth in the 26th century. It has radically modernized itself, however, and is not as harsh a region as it once was.[1]

Battle of Sector Six
In the fall of 2552, Earth was invaded by the Covenant. On November 17, UNSC Marines engaged Covenant forces near Pawa in Sector Six. Though several of the Marines were killed, one was able to determine the trajectory of SPARTAN John-117's descent from the Prophet of Truth's Forerunner keyship.[2] This enabled the UNSC to quickly locate the Spartan, who landed near the border between Tanzania and Kenya.[3]
