House of Vadam
The Vadam clan is referred to as the "House of Vadam" in the Halo 2 Anniversary terminals. Should we rename this page? - NightHammer (talk) 22:58, 14 November 2014 (EST)
- I'd say yes.Sith-venator Wavingstrider (Commlink) 23:02, 14 November 2014 (EST)
- I think it would be more appropriate to rename it "Vadam clan" for ease of search and to keep in line with other articles like Gei clan and Mor clan. But I would like to refer to it as "House of Vadam" or "House of clan Vadam" withing the actual article Lord Susto 23:14, 14 November 2014 (EST)
- These are Kig-Yar clans, aren't they? It doesn't really matter is their names are different. If House of Vadam is used in official media, then I think we should use it. Imrane-117 (talk) 23:19, 14 November 2014 (EST)
- I agree with Susto personally on calling it "Vadam clan", if only because clan is what is more commonly used by Sangheili to refer to their families. But ultimately Imrane and Nighthammer are right: if "House of Vadam" is used in official media, it's what we have to go with. -- SFH (talk) 23:40, 14 November 2014 (EST)
- We could always use redirects too to link "Vadam clan". And I'm not positive, but I don't think "Vadam clan" has been used in any official media. - NightHammer (talk) 23:44, 14 November 2014 (EST)
- It hasn't. As far as I know, Sangheili have never referred to specific clans by name. It's always just been "my clan", "the clan" or "the clans" in Broken Circle or the Kilo Five trilogy. Hence another reason why we should go with "House of Vadam" over "Vadam clan": "House of Vadam" is official; "Vadam clan" is just what we would call it. -- SFH (talk) 23:50, 14 November 2014 (EST)
- "'Xellus clan" was used at least once in Broken Circle, however it could have just been a descriptor for the clan. Still, I believe that "House of Vadam" is a better name. - NightHammer (talk) 23:52, 14 November 2014 (EST)
- If no one else is opposed, shall we change it? - NightHammer (talk) 14:09, 15 November 2014 (EST)
