The Infinite Sacrifice was a Covenant cruiser in service during the Human-Covenant War.[1] It was the Prophet of Regret's personal ship, as well as the flagship of his fleet, when one was needed.[2]

History

Charybdis IX

The Infinite Sacrifice served as the Prophet of Regret's personal flagship in 2535. Regret was present on board Infinite Sacrifice during the Battle of Charybdis IX, while Regret watched Shipmaster Thel 'Vadamee destroy three human destroyers. During the battle, 'Vadamee was brought into the ship and given the order to track and destroy the humans who had modified Covenant weaponry.[3] As 'Vadamee made his way to return to his destroyer, Regret ordered him to glass Charybdis IX with the Infinite Sacrifice.[4]

Several days later, the Infinite Sacrifice was still in the Charybdis system when the Prophet of Truth came aboard the cruiser. Truth revealed his plan to Regret and informed him that the Kig-Yar leader, Reth, was attempting to find the coordinates to Earth while creating a large Unggoy army. Truth informed Regret that he brought his own Honor Guards aboard the ship. Then, the Infinite Sacrifice left the system to follow the coordinates to the world where Reth was creating the Unggoy army.[5]

The Rubble

After the cruiser arrived in the 23 Librae system, the Hierarchs discovered that the human insurgent base, the Rubble, had been destroyed in a battle, and unfortunately Reth and his army were killed. After the battle, 'Vadamee and Zhar were brought before Truth and Regret aboard the Infinite Sacrifice.[6] After being told that he would be executed, Zhar attempted to kill Truth, but was decapitated by 'Vadamee.[7] After the incident, the two Hierarchs returned to High Charity in the cruiser.[8]
