Charon-class

Any objections to me IDing the Iliad as a Charon-class light frigate? As depicted, it does appear to be of that class. -WTRiker 02:20, 4 February 2012 (EST)

I would object as it is artistic. As such, any visual in comics is unreliable unless exceptionally conclusive. Such issue is like the Commonwealth appearance in game and in comics. — subtank 08:05, 4 February 2012 (EST)

In this case, I would say it's OK. It was miraculously consistently shown as a Charon-class and I think we can tag it as such unless/until contradictory evidence comes along. I would echo your concerns for the Commonwealth. In that case the comic and game disagree and the hastily-drawn comic cannot take precedence over the game. Sometimes, in these endeavors, there's a case to be made for common sense. When we know some of how the comics and games were pout together, we can deduce which is intended as correct. Look at Halo Wars: Genesis and the UNSC Prophesy: The ship in the comic is a Marathon-class, the ship on the screens is a Halcyon-class, and the Halo Wars unlockable timeline refers to it as a destroyer, not a cruiser. I'd still say the intention is the Marathon-class if you look at all the evidence. ScaleMaster117 (talk) 17:47, 8 June 2013 (EDT)
