Where's the proof he's a Staff Sergeant? And why did Banks get replaced by Reynolds in Halo 3? Rebel grunt

What happened to him? Did he die in Halo 2?

I looked at the Hillside memorial and one of the phtos of those killed looked alot like Sgt. Banks in the dress uniform he wore on Cairo Staion in Halo 2. Did he die?? Or is this just a conicidence?--Arabsbananas 20:20, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Based from the quote above, we can assume that he died on Delta Halo during the Flood Outbreak or that he survived the Brute capture and returned safely to Earth with Commander Keyes, thus serving during the 2nd Battle of New Mombasa in an unknown location not mentioned in Halo 3.- 5əb'7aŋk^(7alk) 20:55, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure Banks is, in fact, in Halo 3; at least a similar model. The face's similar, and he's even got the radio backpack and all. Noticed him just a while ago while playing The Ark level. --Jugus 12:38, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Revisiting this old discussion. Can we be certain that the Marine in H3 is the same Marine in H2? If I'm not mistaken, the Marine in H3 do not wear the officer-issued hat and wears the standard-issued helmet. Additionally, I feel the need to note that Bank's confirmed appearance so far is only in Metropolis level, and that his appearance in other levels of H2 is simply the outcome of Bungie recycling the same character model (to that note, I think it's fitting to place a "Canon status" section to inform readers of this).— subtank 07:37, 15 January 2013 (EST)

Jones Bank?

Was sifting through HBO's voices archive and found that this character's first name might be Jones (after the voice actor). Thus, full name would be Jones Banks. Since it's from Marty, I guess it's reliable. Would others think the same? — subtank 07:15, 15 January 2013 (EST)

Perhaps, though it's odd they'd put just the name Jones, his first name, but then Stacker's last name. But yes, they are voiced by the same guy. Tuckerscreator^(stalk) 11:43, 15 January 2013 (EST)
