This Mammoth [1][2] is a heavy wheeled vehicle used by the United Nations Space Command in the post-war years.
Specifications
It is a six-wheeled (6x6) vehicle and presumably fills a role very similar to the Marine Corps' M313 Elephant as a dual-role command and support and heavy recovery vehicle. Albeit much larger, it also features an internal bay used to store and deploy much smaller vehicles such as the M12 Warthog light reconnaissance vehicle and the M274 Mongoose all terrain vehicle which can exit the vehicle through a ramp at the front. The vehicle sports a structure, possibly a turret, on the topside and two large openings towards the back, as well as two smaller ones near the vehicle's cockpit. It is generally painted in a scheme similar to camel brown.
Operational history
Many of these vehicles were used by the UNSC Infinity's Marine contingent on Requiem in Summer 2557. [3] During the vessels' approach into the shield world, at least two of these vehicles destroyed surrounding areas of the hangar bay, presumably damaging them. [4]
