The Composer was a Forerunner, or possibly one of their machines, that could extract the personality and memories of a living being, either for the purpose of creating an ancilla such as a monitor, or to integrate them into a geas as it did with the Lord of Admirals.[1] There are few details as to what the Composer really is, such as whether it is either a Forerunner or a machine. Even its uses are merely speculative.
