The SPARTAN-IV Program was a planned supersoldier project authorized by the Office of Naval Intelligence.[1] It was to be led by Colonel James Ackerson, the project lead of the SPARTAN-IIIs. Dr. Catherine Halsey, the project lead of the SPARTAN-IIs, was to be reassigned to this program as Ackerson's subordinate.
