The UNSC Ariadne is a UNSC patrol ship in service with the UNSC Navy after the Human-Covenant War commanded by Commander Pasquale.[1]

Background

In January 2553, the Ariadne experienced complications and was forced to drop out of slipspace near Venezia. Commander Pasquale made contact with the colony, asking for permission to land nonessential personnel for safety reasons. Venezia refused to comply with the request. After their refusal Commander Pasquale sent a databurst, containing a video transmission showing the ship's pennant code ident and asking Earth for help with a technical problem their engineers were having.[1]

Trivia

In Greek mythology Ariadne was the daughter of King Minos of Crete, she helped the Greek hero, Theseus, defeat the Minotaur.
