It is heard in its full form on [[Silent Cartographer (level)|Silent Cartographer]] just after the [[John-117|Master Chief]] has activated the map. The initial part of the piece is later heard at the base of the Control Room on the level [[Assault on the Control Room (level)|Assault on the Control Room]]. It also begins playing when the bottom of the control room is reached on the level [[Two Betrayals (level)|Two Betrayals]]. It is also considered the main theme for the games, although it only appears in this arrangement on the [[Halo: Original Soundtrack|''Halo CE'' soundtrack]]. It does reappear in the [[Halo 2: Original Soundtrack|''Halo 2'' soundtrack]], on the songs [[Reclaimer (music)|Reclaimer]] and [[Unyielding]], and again on the [[Halo 3: Original Soundtrack|''Halo 3'' soundtrack]] in the track [[To Kill a Demon]]. It begins to play as you go to get the Rocket Launchers and Mongooses for the [[Vidmaster Challenge: Deja Vu]] for ''[[Halo 3: ODST]]''.
