A file is the smallest infantry unit within the Covenant Army. The group usually consists of around four to five Unggoy[1] or Kig-yar.[2] A file is usually lead by a Sangheili Minor, or a Jiralhanae Minor with an Ultra Unggoy assisting. A file is the Covenant equivalent to a UNSC Fire Team. A lance is the unit above a file.
