Ok, I would like to know where the information about "Company Sergeant" and "Battalion First Sergeant" came from. In the US (which the UNSC is closely modeled after), a Company has a First Sergeant, who holds the rank of "First Sergeant" while a Battalion or larger has a Sergeant Major, who is a Sergeant Major in the Marines or a Command Sergeant Major in the Army. Unless there is evidence that the UNSC is different, this needs to be fixed. Iceman117 22:44, 9 August 2011 (EDT)

The same goes for the ranks of the leaders of the units. In the USMC, a Platoon is led by a 2nd or 1st Lt, a Company by a Captain, a Battalion by a Lt Col, a Regiment by a Col, and a Division by a Major General. The Unified Ground Command came from the Halo: Encyclopedia, which has been a really shifty bastard of canonocity since it came out. Then again, other than this article and in the reference book, this entity has been used quite sparringly throughout post-2009 canon. Hell, I don't even see a reason why this or Naval Command was established in canon to begin with. Anyways, nothing really to change; however, feel free to place your concerns in a "trivia" section. UNICOM was actually first mentioned in the Halo Wars timeline, if not earlier, so it wasn't created for the Encyclopedia: "All Colonial Military Administration combat forces are placed under NAVCOM/UNICOM 'for the duration of the crisis'." It was later mentioned in the Halo: Reach armory's description of the Mark V[B] helmet: "Entered service in 2551; UNICOM/SPECWAR/Group Three has been the sole adopter." UNICOM definitely does exist, despite the... shaky reliability of the Encyclopedia. I'd say that "Company Sergeant" and "Battalion First Sergeant" were actually meant to be "Company First Sergeant" and "Battalion Sergeant Major", respectively, as with the US military: the editor(s) probably messed up when copy-pasting that information from Halopedia. --Courage never dies. 09:44, 10 August 2011 (EDT)

I would venture to say that, by the way this article is worded, UNICOM is more of a unified Table of Organisation and Equipment for the UNSC Army and Marine Corps, maybe to simplify command and logistics?--The All-knowing Sith'ari 14:58, 10 August 2011 (EDT)
