The UNSC Saratoga was a heavy frigate in the UNSC Navy.[1]
History
On August 12, 2552 during the Battle at Szurdok Ridge, the Saratoga, as well as the UNSC Grafton provided air support for UNSC forces engaging the Covenant on the ground. It was possibly destroyed when a Covenant supercarrier revealed itself after destroying the Grafton.[1]
Trivia
- It's possible that the UNSC Saratoga was named after the Battle of Saratoga during the American Revolution, therefore carrying on a lineage of U.S. Navy ships honoring the battle.
- Like other Heavy Frigates seen during the Fall of Reach, the Saratoga does not have its hull classification symbol painted on its bow.
