The Shotgun Spree is a spree medal awarded in Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach Multiplayer for killing five opponents in a row with the Shotgun without dying (the kills must be shots, not melees). The Human Shotgun (not the Mauler) has to be the weapon that kills the opponent. In Halo Reach, you can use the shoot and hit combo (RT+B) towards this medal as well as Open Season, opposed to only shells and no melee in Halo 3.[verification needed] It is represented by a steel four-pointed star with three blue Shotgun shells in the middle. This medal is known to not register up and not be given to the player sometimes when associated with multikills, or when you die right when you get the last kill.
It is easy to get this medal during an Infection match while playing as a human, and doing so on Citadel will unlock the Pull! achievement.
