I suggest that this page be renamed to "Lone Wolf Spartan glitch" or something of the like. This "statue" looks more like a leftover from production than a reference, it is untextured, extra small and it doesn't really mean much. Compare it to other easter eggs. The flyable pelican/phantom? Clearly left by Bungie as a treat to their fans. The Tribute Room? Obviously put in by Bungie. From wikipedia, "A virtual Easter egg is an intentional hidden message, in-joke or feature in an object such as a movie, book, CD, DVD, computer program, web page or video game." If you think about it, every other easter egg we know of is obviously intentional, but we have no reason to believe that this was intentional. And how is this a hidden message or joke? Are we sure this is John-117? There is no actual verification as to who it is exactly. It is just a Mark VI model to me, not John in particular.--File:PENGUIN4.gifFluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 15:34, 28 December 2010 (EST)
- I question this being an easter egg at all. I believe it's more of a forgotten reference model than an egg for us to find. But you are at the very least, correct. Just like with the Cryo Chamber, we cannot actually determine if this is a "statue" of the Master Chief. XRoadToDawnX 13:05, 1 January 2011 (EST)
Glitch or easter egg?
