The helmet for the Mark VI armor appears in ''[[Halo: Reach]]'' as a prototype (possibly meant to be the [[MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Black|MJOLNIR: Black]] variant).<ref name="armory">'''[[Halo: Reach]]''', ''Armory description''</ref>Two upgrades are available for the helmet, the first adds a Command Network Module on the left side with a Hardened Uplink Module-3rd Generation on the right side (FC-I[2]), and the second adds an Up-Armor plate with a Command Network Module-Improved on the right side (incorrectly called HUL-I) (UA/HUL-I, should be UA/CNM-I).
