From the Vault is the twelfth track heard on the Halo: Reach Original Soundtrack.
Appearances
This track appears in-game in Halo: Reach, but only within the bonus Tribute Room, playing alongside the Siege of Madrigal. Rather than being a purely original track, the piece is a medley of various musical themes from the Halo Soundtrack, Halo 2 Soundtrack, and Halo 3 Soundtrack, to the same tempo and percussion rhythm.
The pieces or themes featured, in order, are:
- Farthest Outpost
- Impend
- The Maw
- The Arbiter's Theme (Featured as the track 'Falling Up' in the Mausoleum Suite, and throughout the Halo 2 Soundtrack)
- The track 'Overcome' from Behold a Pale Horse
Trivia
- The namesake of the song is a reference to the unique mixture of songs that are taken from other soundtracks, which were quite literally "from the vault." It may also be a reference to the fact it plays only within the Tribute Room, which is both a "vault" of past Halo/Bungie pieces and the well hidden lab of Dr. Halsey.
