Armor effects

Template:Ratings Armor effects are a special customizable option in the Armory in Halo: Reach. Armor effects offer a humorous tone to multiplayer.

Death Effects

The following effects occur when a player is killed.

Birthday Party

• Cost: 200,000 cR
• Effect: When a player dies, an effect similar to that of the Grunt Birthday Party Skull will occur.

Heart Attack

• Cost: 300,000 cR
• Effect: When a player dies, flying hearts will appear around the body of the player. This armor effect is similar to the "Dancing Marty" easter egg in Halo 3: ODST.

Living Effects

The following effects occur while a player is alive.

Pestilence

• Cost: 1,000,000 cR
• Effect: Bugs and a cloud of green flows around the player. It also creates a green substance in place of the blood. Upon the player's death, he/she exlplodes in a manner similar to a Flood Carrier Form.

Inclement Weather

• Cost: 2,000,000 cR
• Effect: Electricity and thunder clouds swirl around the player's body. Upon the player's death, a bolt of lightning strikes its body.

Legendary (Flaming Helmet)

• Cost: Only available to buyers of the Halo: Reach Legendary Edition.
• Effect: A flame similar to the one from the Bungie Armor burns around the player's head.

Aurora

• Cost: Only available to Bungie employees
• Effect: A blue flame similar to the Flaming Helmet effect burns around the player's head.
