The Unnamed Salesman is a man who sold print images on a street in Old Mombasa. He wears an athletic shirt and blue jeans, has a lazy eye, is not very clean, and is most likely of the lower class. The salesman speaks the local dialect: the French language. The Photographer admired a print of his, a picture of tribal Africans, when the Covenant instigated the Battle of Mombasa.
