The | <!-- I rewrote it, but even with my rewrite it's probably trash. Chances are, some anon'll come in here and replace the entire text with "NO THATS NOT THE CAVE I SAW IT INSIDE THE OUTSIDE OF THE CRASH SITE OF TEH OTHR PLICAN!!!!11!". Whatever, IDC, I'm just bored. - DavidJCobb 08/10/2009 -->
The Cave of 1000 Faces is a cavefact located in Halo 3<nowiki/>'s campaign level Sierra 117. The cave is located beyond the level boundaries, and may be the entrance to Crow's Nest, shown in Sierra 117's last cutscene.
In Sierra 117's last cutscene, Hocus's Pelican is seen landing in the cave, but the camera angle prevents players from seeing inside. It is likely that Bungie never even modeled the inside of the cave, resulting in a hole in the level geometry and a hall of mirrors effect when seen in game. The cave seems to have earned its name from the experiences of more... superstitious... gamers, who likely mistook the bizarre-looking hall of mirrors effect for a multitude of odd faces.fact |
