The UNSC Red Horse was a prowler used in October 2552 to survey the debris field of the destroyed Halo array installation 04. It arrived in-system some time after the Covenant fleet and High Charity had left.
During their stay they picked up several escape pods and cryotubes from the Pillar of Autumn, none of occupants were alive, except for one man that escaped from the prisonship UNSC Mona Lisa. The captain sent a squad of 18 marines to Mona Lisa to investigate right before a covenant ship making any backup impossible. Eventually it was discovered Mona Lisa suffered from a strange infection and the Red Horse was forced to destroy it by use of Shiva-nuclear missiles
