| Not much else is known about the Point Defense Laser, other than that the Covenant must have adapted the technology from the [[Forerunners]] at some point in their history. In all probability, they are simply a less powerful version of the Pulse Laser Turret, adapted to shoot down incoming enemy projectiles, fighters, and boarding craft.
