Template:Ratings Colonial Militia Training, often abbreviated to CMT, is the designation of a UNSC program raising local militia forces on out-of-the-way worlds such as Harvest, supplementing the UNSC forces, so that far fewer Marines and soldiers need to be stationed away from the main theaters of combat, such as Epsilon Eridani.
Officially, it is supposed to train locals to deal with basic internal security and disaster relief. In practice, however, it trains a paramilitary counter-insurgency force. There is controversy surrounding the program, with some not believing it a good idea to give the colonists, that the UNSC may eventually have to fight, adequate training and weaponry.[1]
Training
The training for Colonial Militia consists of exercises that are popular in today's basic training regimens, such as pugil stick competitions between trainees and learning how to defend an area from attack.
