The Global Water Campaign, or GWC, was a 24th Century company specializing in purifying and transporting melt water from Mount Kilimanjaro. The company operated the GWC Trans-African Pipelines along the Tsavo Highway for distribution across the continent and built a hydroelectric processing plant. It is unknown what happened to the company but by the 26th Century, both the hydroelectric facility and its main complex have fallen into disrepair, overgrown with the African jungle.[1]
The hydroelectric facility was briefly occupied by the Covenant in late 2552 as they searched for SPARTAN-117, eventually routed by the Spartan and scattered Marine ground forces and a gunship.[2]
