An Armory is a storage room for weapons, quite common on UNSC ships.

Halcyon-Class Cruisers have more than 2 Armories; one near the Bridge and a larger one near Engineering.

The weapon holders in Armories can hold virtually any UNSC weapon: Shotguns, Assault Rifles, Pistols and Rocket Launchers.

During the events of Installation 04, the Halcyon-Class cruiser UNSC Pillar of Autumn's Armories were almost completely emptied of their weaponry during a raid on the ship by UNSC forces. The retrieved weapons were taken by Pelicans to Alpha Base and distributed to the personnel. This made it harder for John-117 to battle the Flood and the Covenant at the same time during his mission on board the ship. Among the weapons that were noticeably absent from the only shown Armory were sniper rifles and pistols. However, many shotguns, assault rifles, and Rocket Launchers and ammunition for these weapons were still in their racks, Though some Armories had weapons scattered everywhere with no ammunition at all in them . Why UNSC forces failed to retrieve these weapons is unknown.

For some reason in the Cairo Station armory their are food canisters.

Trivia

• In the Halo 2 armory, there are various movable objects, including boxes and MREs.
• In Halo CE the armory is only viewed twice. In the level Pillar of Autumn, but you only see wounded and dead Marines. Also in the level, the Maw towards the middle, when you must set off the reactors in the Engine room.
