Vandelay is a Halo 3 Multiplayer map. [1]
Much like O.K. Corral, not much is known, except that the map will be excellent in Forge and is the most basic map design Bungie has created. It was recently announced to be able to make your own Man Cannons in Forge as well.
Vandelay is the name of a fictional business in Seinfeld, It may take place in a office building or office.
It has also been stated by Bungie to be the most flexible in forge mode. New Forge Items include Shield Doors, and Man-Cannons, but Bungie has hinted at a few other surprises in store. One of these surprises will be the ability to make certain vehicles have alternate appearances, possibly hinting at the first-time apperances of the jungle warthog and/or the arctic warthog, 2 kinds of Warthogs that were scheduled to appear in Halo 2, but never made it to the final versions of the game. Other vehicles will have alternate weaponry. This may suggest the possible appearance of the AA Wraith or TT warthog in multiplayer. [2]
On 11/19/07, Microsoft released information regarding the first Halo 3 Heroic Map Pack. [1]. The new name for this map will be "Foundry," named for addition of new Forge options which allow players to edit nearly every object. The map pack will retail for 800 Microsoft Points ($10 USD) on 12/11/07.
