Maccabeus was a Jiralhanae Chieftain and one of the rare few Brute Shipmasters. He commanded the Covenant vessel, Rapid Conversion [1]. He was also the uncle to the future Chieftain of the Jiralhanae, Tartarus. He was succeeded by Tartarus when he was challenged to a duel by him and lost.
