Power Cores are very similar to Fusion Cores. The are designed to generate power and are highly explosive. If you listen carefully, a Power core will Pulsate energy to keep the perpetual flow of power alive. A Power Core is stronger than a Fusion core because it is simply two defragmented fusion cores connected together. Also they appeared in Halo 2.
