Space Camp (formerly called Moonbase Alpha) is the name of a map that was announced in the Bungie Weekly Update: 10/12/07[1]. It will be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace in the future.
It is said it is best suited to objective games, like CTF and Assault, but that it also has some natural deadlocks that makes "Slayer interesting and Infection terrifying".
Trivia
- Moonbase Alpha is a reference to the TV show Space 1999.
- Bungie has since updated the name to "Space Camp", mentioned by Frankie in one of the previous Weekly Updates.
- Bungie never stated that "Space Camp" was a codename, so it could be the real name of it.
- Space Camp is rumored to be a large vehicular map just like Avalanche. This map and Purple Reign might be released together in the next map pack.
- space camp was also rumoured to be like standoff but when bungie released the heroic map pack that rumour was scrapped
