As to be expected, the veteran '''Brute Ultras''' are the most experienced of the three regular ranks, meaning that they are smarter, tougher and far more deadly than their subordinates. When facing the '''Ultra''' in battle, you should first pay attention to the weapon it wields, then make your next move based on this.

Template:Ratings Template:Covenant Rank Infobox The Ultra is a Brute (Jiralhanae) rank [1]. They are the highest rank of Brute Infantry. They usually lead a small group of Grunts and at least two or three Minor Brutes.

Rank

Brute Ultra is the highest rank of the three widespread ranks and as such, they are found wearing violet power armor. Because of their intermediate status on the Brute hiearchy, these Brutes can usually be found leading at least two Brute Minors and a group of lesser Grunts. They are also frequently lead by a higher-ranking Brute Captain or Chieftain.

Equipment

The Brute Ultra can be observed to be wielding a wide variety of weapons. These include Spikers, Brute Shots, Carbines and occasionally, Particle Beam Rifles. In addition to the large list of weaponry, Ultras also pilot Choppers as seen on Tsavo Highway. Several have also been seen driving Prowlers on The Covenant.
