Soell is the star that Threshold, Basis and Installation 04 orbit.[1]
Overview
The star's location in the galaxy is unknown. Prior to Halo's release, some speculated and theorized that it was factually the star Iota Horologii (roughly 55 light-years from Earth[2]), based on lateral hints from Bungie that the star was connected to the game somehow (specifically a sign left in front of the Bungie Webcam).
