The actual kill radius of the flame 'nade is 3.4, bungie made a spelling mistake. Note that it says 8 foot on the bungie article. On the IGN article on it that came out earleir it stated it was 3.4 meters/ 8 foot. Seeing as 8 foot =3.4 meters. Also, a kill radius of 13.4, while realistic for frag grenades is unrealistic for an incendiary grenade. Change it at your own peril. --[[User:Ajax 013|Ajax 013]] 19:32, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Tactics

I'll personally enjoy tossing one of these babies on a tank (old WWII tactic perfected with Molotovs). It would burn the gunner to death, and then possibly melt its way to the driver.

Another tactic is to have two guys ride on the side of the Hornet and then throw as many Firebombs as possible down on enemy positions as the Hornet speeds by. An improv nepalm strike (I really like this one).

Firebombs would also make for a great area-denial weapon. Toss them down halls to create walls of flame. Continually toss them down the hall every few seconds to keep the flame going (excellent for Infection or Capture the Flag).

If only my brother gave me a 360 with h3 cheats instead of an original xbox with cheats for halo 2. Infinite grenades with this would be awsome!Greatleader 17:25, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Halo 3

I wonder how they'll behave. I cant wait for Halo 3 to come out. They'd be good as an area-denial weapon, but that depends on how many there are and how many you can carry.AJ 03:26, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Actual kill radius

The actual kill radius of the flame 'nade is 3.4, bungie made a spelling mistake. Note that it says 8 foot on the bungie article. On the IGN article on it that came out earleir it stated it was 3.4 meters/ 8 foot. Seeing as 8 foot =3.4 meters. Also, a kill radius of 13.4, while realistic for frag grenades is unrealistic for an incendiary grenade. Change it at your own peril. --Ajax 013 19:32, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Name?

When has this grenade ever been referred to as a Molotov? I have never once heard this name for it. If there is a source, link it, otherwise, I am removing it. XRoadToDawnX 16:33, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

This doesn't behave as an anti-materiel grenade should.

This grenade doesn't have a long enough burn time to be realistically effective against heavily armored vehicles, like tanks. -- Griever0311 17:36, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Firebomb oddity...

It should be noted that for some reason if you continually run at top speed after caching fire it will cause the fire to burn out faster and you may have a chance at surviving, even if it is w/ almost no health remaining it may trick the thrower into think you are doomed and you might be able to sneek off and regen your shields... this is also true for the flame thrower but is less effective since a full burst will kill from the flamer...
