====Wraith boarding in Halo 3: ODST====
Although a Wraith automatically self-destructs after you kill the driver, it is still possible to drive a Wraith by simply letting the AI kill it. This is easiest done on Coastal Highway, since by the time you encounter a Wraith you would've already gotten past a Gauss Warthog, and Buck would be your gunner. Just let him shoot down the Wraith and then drive it. It may be hard to proceed to the next area, however, since the Banshees will most likely hit the rear of your vehicle, so it is slightly more recommendable to back up instead of boosting forward. This will not work on the AA Wraith since like in the original Halo 3, the AA Wraith self-destructs when you kill the driver, whether a player or NPC.
Although most Wraiths in Halo 3: ODST are rigged to self-destruct once the driver is killed, there is a procedure on boarding the Wraith, known simply as the "wraith glitch", which is more or less similar if not the exact same procedure as in piloting an AA Wraith, although you must time it right by holding the action button(default '''RB''') and killing the driver before you board it. The words "Hold '''RB''' to drive Wraith"(unless you use the Bumper Jumper control scheme, it will be replaced with '''B''') will show up on your screen once the driver is dead, but it is near impossible to time, so you must hold down the button before those words show up. Alternatively, you can take out the hatch with a few melees(take out the driver's shields if you want to be sure), plant a grenade (''without'' boarding it) to kill the driver, stay near the turret so that the words "Hold RB to board enemy Wraith" will not show up at the bottom of your screen, and wait for the nade to blow. If after you've boarded the same Wraith several times(when you restart at the last checkpoint), you may notice that you will keep dying when you attempt to drive it again. If such as event would occur, simply quit to the main menu and resume from the last checkpoint. This will work with both the regular Wraith and the AA Wraith.

There is also another procedure on boarding the Wraith, known simply as the "wraith glitch", which is more or less similar if not the exact same procedure as in piloting an AA Wraith, although you must time it right by holding the action button(default RB) and killing the driver before you board it. The words "Hold RB to drive Wraith" will show up on your screen once the driver is dead, but it is near impossible to time, so you must hold down the button before those words show up. You may also use the [[How to Pilot an AA Wraith|AA Wraith glitch]], which is what the above appears to be based on.
