Operational Use
It was used by Sergeant Major Avery J. Johnson during Operation: KALEIDOSCOPE (a mission where he used an M99 SASR to assassinate Jerald Mulkey Ander, a member of the Secessionist Union).
Caliber
The caliber for the M99 SASR is actually quite small, being only 5.4mm, or .21 caliber. The M99 may very well be less potent that the much larger 14.5mm cartridges utilized in most UNSC Sniper Rifles, such as the SRS99 Series.
Trivia
- It is also nicknamed the "Stanchion".
- Other than the description and picture of the rifle, nothing else is yet known about this weapon.
