The M831 Troop Transport is a light UNSC ground vehicle made for ferrying fire teams too and fro across battlefields. While armed with no weapons unlike other Warthog variants it's occupants can fire upon the enemy.
History
it was originally slated to be a vehicle in Halo 2 along with two other Warthog variants, the snow hog and the jungle hog but the only new variant was the M12G1 LAAV. It was however sighted in the Halo 3 E3 trailer with the Master Chief driving and 3 marines firing from the vehicle.
Trivia
- It is commonly mixed up with the Warhog APC, a improvised URF vehicle with an armoured cab attached to between the front a rear end of the hog, giving many extra seats. This has only appeared in Ghosts of Onyx.
