A lift is a method of vertical transportation, similar to or possibly a type of elevator. Many lifts are located on the Halo. There were plentiful lifts around the area of the Control Room, but also on other locations around the installation. It should be noted that the lifts looked very different depending on where they where located. For example, those around the control center were small and had six corners, while those around the library where big enough for a Pelican to land on. It should also be known that almost all the Lifts seen in Halo: Combat Evolved, except the really large ones, had a glass floor.
