Halo: Contact Harvest[1] is the title of an upcoming Halo book by Joseph Staten. Published by Tor, it will be released October 2, 07 for $15 dollars.

Plot

Spoiler warning: Plot and ending details follow.

At present, very little is known about the book. It has been confirmed that, as the title suggests, this is a story of the first contact between the UNSC and the Covenant. It has also been confirmed that the novel will not feature any Spartan-IIs, and that the main character will be not the Master Chief nor Kurt, but Staff Sergeant Johnson. It has also been hinted that the novel will feature a Covenant subplot, as Staten mentioned that the book will feature "some major Covenant characters from Halo 2." When pressed if he meant the Arbiter, Staten flatly denied the possibility. Many speculate that Rtas 'Vadumee is meant.
