Supreme Commander is a high Covenant Sangheili (Elite) rank.

In the known Elite rank structure, the Supreme Commanders are the fourth-highest ranking Elites, beneath only the Councilors, Arbiters, and Imperial Admirals. They command large fleets of ships within the Covenant. They are usually Zealot grade Elites.
Because of this, Supreme Commanders are probably the Covenant equivalent of Vice Admirals and Admirals, but this has not yet been confirmed.

Supreme Commander armor is depicted as clad in bright violet armor, with a long cloak that wraps around and over the armor piece of their shoulders.
