Zealous Dedication
Your work on disproving Esemono's nearly religiously-charged fury in annihilating most of the starship articles on the Main Page talk page has earned you fame in my eyes 4 spending the time to actually keep these definately canon articles.
Therefore, I award you the Relentless Honor for such unwavering dedication.
Cheers,

Triple Kill - Battle of Onyx
To: Rotaretilbo/Archive
I must congratulate you on the exceptional work done by you on the BoO article, for doing with a passion what I was too lazy to do.
I think it needs some grammar cleanup and reworking, but you are the one who has set the foundation, the one who led the way.
Cheers,

Just saying hi
To: Rotaretilbo
No problem about BoO it actually looks a lot better. thanks for the help i hope that some of what i wrote was used but if it wasnt i did a tiny bit of revising on the page. anyway just wanted to say hi.

Signing your edits
When you sign your edit all you have to do is put ~~~~. Then the time won't look like a year date or somekind of 4 number code. -- Esemono 23:21, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, I always wondered how you guys calculated UTC time so easily. I've always stuck with whatever time it is locally (which varies from US Mountain and US Pacific)--Rotaretilbo 23:25, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah no worries and FYI you can customize it a bit ... For example:
Covenant Carrier Defense
Rot, I can not express my gratitude for your valiant defense of the canonical starship articles.
For Feburary Halopedian of the Month, you're prob going to be nominated by me, b/c, frankly, you're doing, alongside me, the most work on starshiip articles.
Thanks once again,

- No problem. You know, she irks me to. I'm not sexist, but I find it irritating that she flaunts her gender as a weapon and uses it to silence other boys. <shrugs> Dunno. But, once again, thank you for unmarring the Covvie Carrier page! For the Sangheili...uhh...I mean...the Sentinels. Eh? Right? <goes maniacal> Hehe...I am a genius! <stops attack of craziness> Uhh...I'm not high on memory power right now. AA3X
Hello, Rot. May I call you "Rot" for short?
I placed the DELETE tag on the AA3X Missile article. It is blatant blasphemy and amaethma - fan fiction.
I am extraordinarily frustrated at the lack of administrators. It took nearly a week after I tagged the article until Esemono killed it...*sighs*.
Oh well.
Adios, comrade.

Halopedia Rank Page
I'm creating another Canon debate page for the ranking system. Seeing how you did a great job with the sources on your page, there is no need to reinvent the wheel so I'm just going to use your info. I hope that's no problem. I'm also trying to move the debates from all the different pages to the Halopedia talk:Rank Canon Debate Page unless it concerns a specific rank.-- Esemono 11:38, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

- Main article: Halopedia:FanArt Committee
The Halopedia governing committee has sat down and after hours of consultation with lawyers and our third party advisors has come with a plan of action regarding FanArt. While initially striving to erase all fan art from Halopedia, members have made valid points about some of the Images adding value to articles. Therefore through a vote a FanArt judgment committee will be created to judge whether or not an Fan created image can stay on an article's page or not. The committee is open to most users. You are in command of Fleet Commandment of Divinity. Thus, you ought have your own flagship (plus the Divine Wrath is KIA). How does a supercarrier sound? I am going to introduce your fleet as five frigates, three destroyers, three carriers, and a supercarrier (twelve ships in all, so the UNSC can still stand a chance in space). What you need to do is decide on a name for the supercarrier, as it is your flagship. Leave a message on my talk page when you have decided on a name.--Rot 17:37, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Letters of Canon
I was wondering. I recently email Eric Nylund concerning a few oddities in Halo: First Strike. I want to know if this would count as a letter of canon.
- from Brandon Rebuga
- to Eric Nylund
- date Jan 5, 2007 2:05 PM
- subject Several Questions from First Strike page 49
- mailed-by gmail.com
I have two questions at the moment.
First, you list Polaski as a "Petty Warrant Officer" on page 49. Did you mean Warrant Officer? Because I know you base your writings upon the American system and Petty Warrant Officer isn't a rank as far as I can recall.
Second, on the same page, you list Haverson as a First Lieutenant, but give him the insignia of a Navy Lieutenant. He is in ONI, which suggests Navy, but he may well be Marine Corps. Thus, I want to clarify if he is Navy or Corps.
Thank you for your time.

- subject RE: Several Questions from First Strike page 49
Brandon,
I don’t have a copy of the HALO Story Bible anymore so I cannot cross-reference to make sure, but these appear to be errors.
Polaski (to my recollection) should be Petty Officer Second Class.
Haverson is a Navy Lieutenant.
Hope that helps.
All best wishes,
Eric Nylund

RE:RE:Letters of Canon
That was fun...I just went through and found as many links referencing Haverson and Polaski by First Lieutenant and (Petty) Warrant Officer (respectfully), then added either Letter - Re:Haverson or Letter - Re:Polaski. I'm just waiting for mass chaos to break out at the change, but then, mass chaos at correct info is better than incorrect info.--Rot] 06:36, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Yes, the supercarrier or fleetcarrier or as I like to call it Commandmentcarrier, is to be named Ceiliesal Diviney, one of the most powefull supercarriers in the covenant navy. I have been told that a covenant supercarrier looks like three assult carriers mearged together, with three hooks in the front. --Admiral Sozai Nexes File:.jpg FLEETCOMM 16:50, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

- Actually, no. I've already learned HTML, which is why I understand the font and sup tags and all that, and I understand how intra-wiki links work, so I simply combined the two, along with INSPIRATION from your work. I only steal when I'm writing music; after all, good composers don't borrow. They steal. BTW, if you're going to shoot yourself through the mouth, don't angle the gun up too far. Just barely up, so it comes out behind the roof of your mouth. Not the back of your mouth, not through your brain. Behind the roof of your mouth. It will stop all motor functions, including heart, lungs, arms, legs, and brain. Absolutely no posthumous conciousnous or awareness, as I have been led to believe, unlike other methods of death, such as suffocation where you fully understand that your breathing privelages have been revoked, and you're fully aware of the helplessness of the situation, completely up until your brain suffers enough damage for you to either lose concept of pain, go out cold, or even just die right away, skipping the first two stages. So, if you want to go out peacefully, even if your mind is not at rest, back of the mouth, slightly up. Hope this hel--no, I certainly do not hope this helps! If you're ever feeling suicidal, do NOT follow my advice. Instead seek councilling. It's just that it's physically one of the more peaceful ways to go, so if you're being mugged or something, ask him to, if he's really going to shoot, either shoot not to kill, or shoot right there, to minimize suffering. Cheers! guesty-persony-thingy 21:50, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

RE:Electronics Anomoly
um... I was thinking that mostly just the ONI ships would be affected, I hadn't really thought it through all the way, however, I had decided that 49 Proximal Secant had been responsible, perhaps he had considered the possibility of stealth ships a hazard to the ring? I have left it generally vauge so it is more flexible. I also did it so that the number of covenant ships destroyed would be left to people like you who have authority. I have also thought about having one of the prowler captains die so that my ensign anderson can be promoted and show the inteligence that I "disreguarded as a false feeling". thank you for your time. --O_M_R_I_F_E_R_ET|C 01:33, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
When I wrote that captain Jacob Rathens pressed the button I was thinking that that detonated the mines, however, it would be possible for the captain of the prowler that the covenant targeted died before SHE was able to detonate the mines her ship laid, which would mean that 14 HORNET mines are left, those were just the concepts i came up with while writing it. however, you are a moderator so you can do as you wish, I will respect authority.--O_M_R_I_F_E_R_ET|C 01:58, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Hee hee hee, well, I have named the captain of the eatheral hand Veronice Sanderson, Derek Anderson will pull something off that will get him promoted to captain and, since Veronica will have been killed, Derek will assume command of her ship. While we begin repairs to fix what 49 PS did, Derek will devise some brilliant manuver that will prove his "hidden inteligence" That is the plan I have devised. If you see anything wrong with this plan, please contact me and I will revise my future storyline. --O_M_R_I_F_E_R_ET|C 02:19, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
ok no prob, of course emps can do some damage to the electronics but the fusion cores should be up instantly. I usually dont write my next piece until somthing happens that has to do with me. Also, were there covenant ships that were destroyed in my attack? if so how many? If not then I guess I'll just have to try harder next time.--O_M_R_I_F_E_R_ET|C 10:13, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Ok then, ships will regain power, detect the number of Covenant ships and then begin sorting out what happened while the "lights were out" so to speak. Thank you for the time you put in to help me. --O_M_R_I_F_E_R_ET|C 23:46, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Reverence-class Cruiser
"Ah the joy quotes do bring me. We'll start with page 223 of Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. "Three smaller ships gave chase to one larger. The small ones were two-thirds the tonnage of Bloodied Spirit. The larger ship was twice their size." Note that the larger ship is the Incorruptible, a Reverence-class cruiser, the smaller ships being Brute frigates. Now turn to page 205 of Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. "Fred moved to the cockpit and followed her gaze. Up he orbital elevator, past a whisper haze of clouds, a pair of dots - each a kilometer-and-a-half long Covenant ship - orbited." Note that one of these ships is the destroyer Bloodied Spirit. Now, from that, we gather than the Bloodied Spirit is 1.5km long. Now the first quote says the Incorruptible is twice that. 1.5*2=3. And there you have it.--RotBrandon 07:04, 9 January 2007 (UTC)"

Letter - Re:Polaski
New talk entry on this talk page. What are your thoughts on my hypothesis? Manticore 11:54, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
I totally agree with your decision to remove Petty from the Warrant Officer rank, and I too believe the US system is the basis for the UNSC ranks. It's also possible Nylund never intended to use Warrant Officers in the books (as most people find their relation to the enlisted and commissioned officer ranks confusing), and he did mean for Polaski to be a PO2. -- Manticore Talk | CSV 19:54, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Yo, Rot, it's RR! (I just noticed that we both start with the same letter)
I propose that CAR-class and Covenant Heavy Cruiser be merged in light of a line on FS, pg. 167, para. 3, line 2 regarding the distinction between a heavy and a light covvie cruiser.

Covenant Ship Canon Debate
The instances where RR and I disagree are few and far between. However, they do occur. One such example is the disagreement concerning CAR-class ships. Another one that is sure to begin will be the CPV-class Heavy Destroyer (where does Heavy come from anyway?). Needless to say, I've updated the Covenant Ship Canon Debate with my argument concerning the CPV-class Heavy Destroyer.

Comma in LTJG
Hey Rot. Just a courtesy message to let you know I've redirected Lieutenant Junior Grade (without comma) to Lieutenant, Junior Grade. There is a reference on this page from GoO, plus as I stated earlier the rank namings have followed US style to the letter. I will also include the comma in any pages I can find with it missing. I agree with your initial assessment that Nylund didn't include the comma in FoR & FS, but as you can see from the tone of the reference (a promotion) the comma implies formality that was previously not present. Also Nylund might have ommitted the comma accidentally. Who knows? But I think that with that one reference plus the US argument, the comma should stay. A little confused...
"You mentioned earlier that you wished to see where the agreements came to. Well, their probably still lingering at Talk:Sergeant. That is where most of the fighting took place (oddly, not even over ranks, but insignias). I can see where you are coming from concerning troop numbers however. Yamanba has been the advicate for the deletion of many ranks even in the addition of Letter - RE:UNSC Ranking System. I did some follow up with him, and I believe the insignias staid mostly the same as well (his answer was vague, mainly because my question was actually based on the black enamel of Haverson's Lieutenants bars)."
Sorry, I'm a little confused here. What was this in response to? I've contributed to lots of talk pages regarding rank. Cheers, Manticore Talk | CSV 09:56, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

- Looks good. It's definately going to start some new roleplaying. But I have a question or two. Since the fleet retreated, what are the Covenant and Human roleplayers going to do now, since there is no conflict? Also, why would The Hesperus need to land? Not that it's too important, since I can pretty much roll with anything. The lack of fuel would make sense, kinda, since they had already needed to escape atmosphere once and that would take a considerable amount. But they were docked somewhat next to the Anasazi. Well, it's not a big deal, i'm sure we can get around it. Later. CaptainAdamGraves 22:11, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey
Ok, so whats the website adress for this other roleplay. Now that we've pretty much wrapped up this roleplay, I kind of want to jump into another one. I don't neccesarily like the way this one ended....
I kind of wanted to do the plot with the NOVA team spartans with Relentless.
And the whole thing about fuel doesn't make sense since Humanity's ships run on fusion reactors and once they are started they would just fuel themselves with compounds such as H20. So fuel isn't really neccesary. But anyways, get back to me.CaptainAdamGraves 01:56, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
