Spartan-III Alpha Company was the first company of Spartan-III to be trained. Only 300 made it to bevome full Spartan-IIIs in active engagement service. They were tested on the night they were sent, and are instructed to paradrop to the designated pickup location.[2] They then started training at Camp Currahee on Onyx by Lieutenant Commander Kurt Ambrose, a SPARTAN-II, on December 27, 2531.[3] They went active in November of 2536.
