You cannot clasify a vessel as a 'battleship'but also a cruiser.A cruiser can have a longer keel/hull length(as was the case with cruisers at Jutland)and this is the case with some Covenant cruisers.

At the 'Warrior of the prophets' site thee is no 'battleship' designation,only 'flagship'.I suggest therefote,that the flagship should be classified as a 'battleship'-heavily armed but still smaller than the largest cruiser/carrier,though a flagship just carries a flag admiral,they tend to be battleships(e.g.Iowa class that took Japanese surrender)
'Dreadnought' the smaller ship,and 'super-dreadnought' for the larger(flag type) would also suit-heavy warship etc means nothing.Capital ship would be a slightly better term to use.

The Covenant Battleship[1] was a heavy warship classification in the Covenant fleet, classified as a cruiser. This warship was two kilometers long, had five bulbous sections, and bristled with a dozen energy projectors - enough weapons to decimate any UNSC fleet from long range. It was larger than most Covenant warships, even surpassing the keel length of the CCS-class Battlecruiser, but itself was dwarfed by the Covenant Flagship and the Covenant Assault Carrier. It is believed to be extremely heavily armed for its size, as it possessed a dozen projectors at two kilometers whereas the Covenant Supercruiser had five projectors, but was longer than 3.5 kilometers.

Multiple battleships defended the Unyielding Hierophant.
