The Spike Grenade (incorrectly translated as the Nail Grenade) is a weapon introduced in Halo 3. When it detonates, it shoots a cone of spikes in one direction. Like the Plasma Grenade, the Spike Grenade sticks to the surface it lands on. Unlike the Plasma Grenade, it can stick on walls and floors, (possibly because of the spikes) rather than just enemies. This means the bounce tecnique cannot be used. [1]
According to EGM reports, the grenade has a distinct whistling sound when thrown, which may be useful for scaring enemies.
