Valhalla is a multiplayer level in Halo 3. A from-the-ground-up level, said to be 'the new Blood Gulch', it is a forested valley with mountains in the distance and a creek running through the middle.
Valhalla has "Man Cannons", like Gravity Lifts on Halo 2, instead of launching you up, they launch you around the map, it has been said that they make a loud noise like the grav lifts.[1]
The base's tower's architecture are similar to the Forerunner's technology. In fact, the towers are almost identical to the constructs seen in the Halo 1 campaign level Halo.
Trivia
- According to the scandinavian (Viking) mythology, Valhalla is the world where gods live, and where the life after death is hold.
- Many are confused to the new name, though it has no connection to blood, like the previous in the Blood Gulch family had. It seems though that this name is to be related to the word MJOLNIR, because they're both from the same mythology.
