Major is a commissioned officer rank of the UNSC Marine Corps and the UNSC Army, equal in rank to the Lieutenant Commander in the UNSC Navy.
A Major typically commands a vast Battalion, such as the case of Major Antonio Silva in Halo: The Flood, or serves as a staff officer for larger units.
