Neil Bloomkamp is the new director of the Halo movie. [[Peter Jackson]] decided to go into game making with his new [[Wingnut Interactive]] and make the upcoming game Halo Chronicles. [[Peter Jackson]] and his partner [[Fran Walsh]] will instead be executive producers. Halo Chronicles is set to be released sometime in December.
Some say that the movie won't be as good with Neil Bloomkamp directing it, it may cause people to not go and see the movie. Neil Bloomkamp is a good director, don't let this change cause you to not see the movie. Sure [[Peter Jackson]] may be a better choice but give Neil Bloomkamp his moment in the spotlight.

Neill Blomkamp

Neill Blomkamp is a Vancouver-based director of short films and advertisements. Neill Blomkamp works with RATEL VFX in Vancouver, a small studio specializing in TVC VFX. He is represented by RSA Films in Los Angeles, and Spy Films in Toronto. Blomkamp employs a documentary-style, hand-held, cinéma vérité technique, blending seamlessly with naturalistic and photo-realistic computer-generated imagery effects.

In Aug 2006, he was picked by Peter Jackson an hired by Microsoft to direct the movie adaptation of the hit video game Halo, which was due for release in summer 2008 prior to its putting on hold by the involved parties.
