Career Service Vitae or CSV is basically the military's version of a Resume. In a Halo CSV it will record a person's military service, including the battles they've been in, the awards they've won, etc.
While not common in today's language the term is espically popular in futuristic military setting and is seen in the Halo and Starcraft Universe.
