According to the Self-Voting Amendment, users may no longer vote for themselves until someone votes for them first.

Template:Shortcut

Before You Vote

  • Only votes from users who have accounts on Halopedia and whose vote are cast while being logged in will count. The account must have been created at least one month before the vote and have at least 50 article edits.
  • For example, if one is voting for HOTM for the month of October then the user must have created their account in July or before July.
  • Votes will be counted for next month. Please vote on the section for next month, because only the votes in that section will be counted.
  • You can vote one time only. If you wish to change your vote, cross out (but do not remove) any previous votes you have made.
  • Please bold your nomination so it is easier to see.
  • In the event of a tie the results from the edit count page will be used as a tie breaker.
  • You must put your vote with your signature in the voting area. In the end votes with signatures are the only ones that will be counted.

Votes

  • DavidJCobb - His contribution says it all; quality, quantity, verified, standardised.. mostly quality and standardised part He is, truly, a self-proclaimed professional "glitchologist" -- one who executes, studies, enjoys, and explains game glitches. Also one of the best Deviants.- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 16:56, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
  • General5 7 - For the past month, I have been observing this user's edits. I find his/her contributions exceptionally helpful, with a good number of Good-quality edits and plenty of reverts to vandalism and countless unneeded edits, as well as being an active contributor. His/Her work and efforts, to me, make him/her a good HOTM-worthy user. - File:Commander Silver Leaf.PNG Nìcmávr (Tálk) 17:09, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
  • General5 7 - Phenomenal contributions and personality. - JEA13 [iTalk] 18:59, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
  • General5 7- This user contributes a lot to halopedia his edit count was amazing last month. - User:Haloman101

By the way, I am a "her". ;)   General5 7    talk    contribs    email

Also by the way, General has been on the Top Editors list for the whole month, holding the fourth place with pride, making her the only non-admin the top 5. It is awesome considering that she cannot edit the Main Page, many protected pages, and she cannot delete or restore pages and stuff. I think she is a true veteran now and deserves the HOTM more tan anything else. Davidjcobb is very good as well, but just compared to General is is clear who deserves it the most. - JEA13 [iTalk] 19:20, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

No offense (If you feel offended, blame Coffee), but the TopEditor list doesn't measure quality which I always refer to when nominating potential HOTMs.- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 19:28, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I nominated her due to the fact she makes good quality edits. I never go along with the Top Editors list. For all I know, any user on there could be point-whoring. - File:Commander Silver Leaf.PNG Nìcmávr (Tálk) 19:37, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
To Subtank: Firstly, I did not ignore that completely. And secondly, there are also many other factors on which one must base their vote, such as character, popularity, dedication and many more. Of course number and quality of edits are included. But seriously, when I see a General raising from Gunnery Sergeant and 10.000 points to Major and 70.000 points, when I see a General who has talked to many more users this month than I have in 2 months, when I see a General whose name is always on the recent changes list, and when I see a DavidJCobb for the first time this month, whose name is not in the Top Editors and has not yet become a Captain (this shows something), how should I vote on him and disrespect General? - JEA13 [iTalk] 19:41, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
*grumbles and blames coffee* okey dokey....- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 19:46, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

I don't know who to vote for. File:Commander Silver Leaf.PNG Kougermasters (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 19:44, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

To JEA13: You are mostly right about what you said, yes. But what Subtank is trying to say is that a user on Halopedia should not be measured by the number edits or points they have, but by the quality of their edits themselves. Something which I agree with. - File:Commander Silver Leaf.PNG Nìcmávr (Tálk) 19:51, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
*grumbles, throws coffee away and reverts to tea...* Exactly.- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 19:58, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I agree with that too. I just mentioned the Top Editors because it is a honor-giver, and because the point difference between the two users is huge, which indicates the General's dedication compared to Davids. - JEA13 [iTalk] 19:57, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Not trying to argue or anything, but I feel compelled to note that (with the exception of point-whoring) the point count is an indicator of both dedication and longevity. I'm aware that I lack the latter, and I'm not saying that General lacks the former. DavidJCobb Emblem.svg DavidJCobb  02:13, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Also Nicmavr, if I am not wrong, you voted for General, which contrasts what you agree with XD :P - JEA13 [iTalk] 20:13, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I voted for her because of her efforts and her edit quality. Not because she's on the top 5 editors this month. :P - File:Commander Silver Leaf.PNG Nìcmávr (Tálk) 20:16, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, efforts and edit quality! Those are what I referred to on my Subtank's comment reply! Read above why I mentioned the Top 5... :P - JEA13 [iTalk] 20:18, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Umm, I might vote for General5 7. But I'm not sure. Hmm... I still can't get over the similarity between Nicmavr's new signature and mine. If you guys don't cool it with the dispute (And if I hadn't been commenting), you guys are going to make so many replies that they go off the page ;) Anyways, good luck... erm... somebody! I have decided to vote for General5 7. File:Commander Silver Leaf.PNG Kougermasters (Talk) (Contribs) (Edits) 00:01, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

... This is hard one for me, I don't know either of these users but they seem to be under "recent activity" a lot. Just Some Guy [Now I Will Talk, And You Will Listen] File:Perfect Black UNSC logo.png

Thanks, Subtank! :D :D DavidJCobb Emblem.svg DavidJCobb  20:31, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

As such, I should thank Nicmavr, and JEA for standing up for me. Thanks! =D   General5 7    talk    contribs    email

This election is a landslide. --Haloman101 01:03, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

As of now, you probably shouldn't say that, seeing that there still is 29 days left.   General5 7    talk    contribs    email
Even if there are 29 days left General, it is veeeewy difficult for things to change, so I will say "congrats" now! - JEA13 [iTalk] 07:13, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
