Editions
2549 Model
The last revision (2549) had a slower speed from the 2553 model per wheel in horsepower/kilowattage. As with every other iteration of the Hog, each wheel has an independent drive-by-wire electric motor, with power generated by a forward-housed low-profile hydrogen I/C plant. The hydrogen fuel is burned at very high temperature with a synthetic carbon/silicon catalyst to achieve better fuel consumption.
2553 Model
The model in 2553 is available in three variants: the Standard model, a Manual-transmission version and a Limited Edition that's a wood-trimmed Classic Edition.
Trivia
- A billboard for the civilian warthog can be seen on the map Headlong and District.
- It is drivable vehicle in the Custom Edition of Halo: CE on some maps, and the advertisement billboard is seen on many Earth maps.
