The UNSC colony of Draco III was invaded by Covenant forces sometime before 2552. The Covenant never took prisoners, though. They captured Human survivors, who were mutilated by Grunts and Jackals. The Spartan-II's watched this via satellite linkup and by the time they got there, there was no one left to rescue. The Spartans then fought and destroyed most the Covenant forces. [1]
